Our Story
Every Flavor Tells a Story
501 Local is a neighborhood bistro located on the corner of Chestnut and Oak in Winnetka. It’s the perfect place for friends and family to enjoy delicious food and drinks either on the beautiful patio or in the warm, inviting dining room. Everyone will find something to love on our creative “American with a Twist” menu. We also offer a thoughtful selection of wine, craft beer and signature cocktails. Owner Mark Salmon has worked in restaurants on the North Shore for over 20 years. He is thrilled to open his own place and continue the personal service for which he’s known.
